June 28, 1985: Reds (37-35) at Padres (46-28)

In a game at JACK MURPHY STADIUM the San Diego Padres got by the Cincinnati Reds by the score of 6 to 3. 

Cincinnati was unable to climb back into it after San Diego went ahead for good in the bottom of the 2nd inning plating one baserunner utilizing 3 base hits. Kevin McReynolds banged out a single. Two outs later Tim Flannery came up and he ripped a one-base hit. Tony Gwynn then smacked a single scoring the run. Gwynn took second on the throw. San Diego finished with 13 hits in the victory. 

Dave Dravecky(11-3) got the win allowing 2 runs in 8 innings. Jay Tibbs(5-7) was hit with the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 11 hits and 4 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings. 

With this win, San Diego has a division leading 46-28 record. They have been 7-3 lately. With the loss, Cincinnati has a record of 6-4 lately, 37-35 overall.
