Shortstop Roy Smalley had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Mike Smithson was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game at COMISKEY PARK as the Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago White Sox by the count of 8 to 2. 

Minnesota jumped out to the early lead in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits. Minnesota managed 9 hits in their victory. 

Smithson(6-6) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. The loss was charged to Joel Davis(1-3). He was touched for 7 hits and 2 walks in 3 innings. 

The Minnesota ballclub's record now stands at 32-39. Chicago has a record of 32-37 after the loss.
