July 6, 1985: Tigers (46-32) at Rangers (40-40)

The Detroit Tigers tallied 4 runs in the 5th inning and had very little trouble at ARLINGTON STADIUM downing the Texas Rangers. The score was 10 to 5. 

In the top of the 5th inning Detroit scored 4 runs with the help of 4 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Larry Herndon who quieted the crowd when he stroked a base-hit which was good for two runs. Texas was out-hit by Detroit, 16 hits to 6. 

Jack Morris(10-5) got the win allowing 5 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. Jeff Russell(1-2) took the loss. He was knocked around by Detroit, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks in 4 innings.
