July 7, 1985: Dodgers (47-33) at Cardinals (45-34)

Right fielder Andy Van Slyke had 2 base hits as the St. Louis Cardinals pulled out a win over the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 3 to 2 at BUSCH STADIUM. 

The game was won by St. Louis when they scored a run in the 9th inning. Tommy Herr ripped a one-base hit. Jack Clark stepped up to the plate and he doubled. Van Slyke then delivered a base-hit making St. Louis the winners and sending the 49,353 fans home happy. St. Louis managed 8 hits in their victory. 

The victory was credited to Bill Campbell(2-2) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. Bobby Castillo(2-2) was hit with the loss in relief.
