July 7, 1985: Red Sox (49-32) at Angels (36-44)

In a game at ANAHEIM STADIUM the Boston Red Sox got by the California Angels by the score of 5 to 2. 

Rich Gedman enjoyed a big day at the plate. He doubled in the 2nd inning, tripled clearing the bases in the 5th inning and laced a single scoring two baserunners in the 9th inning. Boston out-hit California for the game, 12 hits to 6. 

Tim Lollar(5-2) got the win allowing 2 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Lollar was helped out by Bob Stanley who recorded his 21st save. Mike Witt(5-8) ended up with the loss.
