July 10, 1985: Blue Jays (52-33) at Mariners (44-40)

One run was the difference at The Kingdome as the seemingly unstoppable Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Seattle Mariners 9 to 8. 

The game was decided in the 9th inning. After two were out Garth Iorg ripped a base-hit. Willie Upshaw followed next and he doubled scoring the run. Seattle was set down quietly in the bottom of the 9th. 

Dave Stieb(15-5) got the win allowing 8 runs in 8 innings. Stieb got help from Tom Henke who was credited with his 17th save. Bill Swift(3-6) was the loser in relief. 

It was another victory for Toronto at KINGDOME. Now their winning streak stands at 7 games. 'I'm glad to get the win', Stieb said. 'We've got some good momentum going now.'
