Glenn Wilson had 4 hits as the Philadelphia Phillies topped the Houston Astros by a score of 5 to 2 at Colt Stadium. 

Philadelphia tallied 3 runs in the 4th inning when they had 3 base hits. The biggest moment was provided by Ozzie Virgil who deflated the mood of the partisan fans when he launched a three-run homer. Kent Tekulve earned the save with a perfect ninth, his 13th save. 

The win went to John Denny(8-7) who allowed 2 runs in 8 innings. Mike Scott(5-8) was given the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.
