July 9, 1985: Twins (35-47) at Orioles (41-40)

Center fielder Fred Lynn blasted a homerun and scored 4 times as the Baltimore Orioles outscored the reeling Minnesota Twins 6 to 3. 

Minnesota was unable to climb back into it after Baltimore went ahead for good in the bottom of the 2nd inning plating one baserunner. Baltimore had a total of 9 hits for the game. 

Mike Boddicker(1-8) allowed 2 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Boddicker was helped out by Nate Snell who recorded his 3rd save. Mike Smithson(7-8) absorbed the loss. He pitched 7 innings giving up 8 hits and 5 walks.
