Deleon(7-10) put on a good performance. He didn't allow much, just 5 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings. The pitchers took over after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.
Mike Krukow(4-11) was the losing pitcher. Chuck Tanner was asked about the performance of Deleon, 'He had his good stuff out there tonight. The fans really get into it when the strikeouts start mounting up - and that seems to give him even more adrenalin.'
