July 11, 1985: Royals (49-36) at Indians (33-54)

Second baseman Frank White connected with a 'big fly' and had 4 RBI at MUNICIPAL STADIUM where the Kansas City Royals beat the Cleveland Indians 7 to 4.

White provided much of the offense. He doubled resulting in a run in the 5th inning, tripled which plated a run in the 7th inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 9th inning. Kansas City finished with 11 hits in the victory.

The victory went to Danny Jackson(6-6) who went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs. Jackson got help from Dan Quisenberry who earned his 20th save. Curt Wardle(2-7) absorbed the loss. He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings giving up 8 hits and 6 walks.

With this win, Kansas City has a division leading 49-36 record. They have been 5-5 lately. Cleveland has a record of 33-54, worst in the division after the loss.
