June 11, 1985: Phillies (34-45) at Braves (24-59)

Left fielder Jeff Stone had 2 base hits at FULTON CTY STADIUM as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the pathetic Atlanta Braves by the count of 3 to 2. 

Shane Rawley(7-11) pitched a solid game. He went 6 innings surrendering 4 hits and 1 walk. Atlanta had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. 

Kent Tekulve recorded his 14th save. Steve Bedrosian(2-14) was hit with the loss. John Felske was beaming after the game, 'Not only were we making good contact, but a lot of balls we hit seemed to have 'eyes'! I just love winning these tight ones! It was just our evening - no doubt about it!'
