July 12, 1985: Red Sox (53-33) at Mariners (44-42)

In a game at The Kingdome the Boston Red Sox got by the Seattle Mariners by the score of 5 to 2. 

Boston scored 2 runs in the decisive top of the 7th inning. The Seattle offense proved no trouble in the bottom of the 9th. 

Bob Ojeda(6-5) went 8 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Ojeda was helped out by Bob Stanley who recorded his 23rd save. Jim Beattie(3-6) absorbed the loss. He allowed 7 hits and 4 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.
