Glenn Wilson went yard and had 2 RBI as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 6 to 5. 

Philadelphia scored the deciding run in the top of the 8th inning. Mike Schmidt lofted a solo-blast 'downtown'. Larry Andersen pitched a perfect ninth and was credited with his 1st save. 

Dave Rucker(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing no runs. Ted Power(1-4) was tagged with the loss in relief.
