In a close game it was the Chicago White Sox 3, the Cleveland Indians 1 at COMISKEY PARK.

The winning pitcher was Britt Burns(7-11) who allowed 1 run in 8 innings. Bob James preserved the game for Burns, recording his his 22nd save. Bryan Clark(2-1) ended up with the loss in relief. He pitched 3 innings and surrendered 6 hits and no walks. 

The winning ways continue for Chicago. They now have a record of 8-2 in recent days. With the loss, the Cleveland ballclub's record is 35-57, worst in the division.
