July 20, 1985: Braves (25-64) at Mets (63-27)

Keith Hernandez collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI as the smoking-hot New York Mets beat the Atlanta Braves by a score of 7 to 4. 

New York tallied 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning when they came up with 3 base hits. The highlight belonged to Hernandez who made the New York fans a happy lot when he tripled plating two runs. Ed Lynch(13-3) got relief help from Roger McDowell who was excellent in relief and gained credit for his 12th save. 

Len Barker(4-11) was hit with the loss. New York scored big getting 7 runs off him in 6 and 2/3 innings.
