Shortstop Hubie Brooks had 2 base hits as the Montreal Expos bested the Houston Astros 7 to 3 at OLYMPIC STADIUM. 

Montreal jumped on top of Houston in the bottom of the 3rd inning when they tallied 2 runs on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to Vance Law who came through for the home fans when he clubbed a two-run home run. Montreal managed 9 hits in their victory. 

Bill Gullickson(8-10) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. Mike Scott(5-10) ended up with the loss. He allowed 5 runs and 6 hits in 5 innings.
