July 22, 1985: Cardinals (54-37) at Giants (38-55)

Terry Pendleton had 4 hits and 4 RBI and John Tudor delivered 9 solid innings as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the San Francisco Giants by the score of 9 to 0 at CANDLESTICK PARK.

The San Francisco fans didn't appreciate the big day Pendleton had. He stroked a one-base hit in the 2nd inning, lost the ball over the fence for three runs in the 3rd inning, lined a single in the 4th inning and doubled plating a run in the 6th inning. St. Louis had 13 hits for the afternoon.

For Tudor(12-4) it was his 4th shutout this year. Vida Blue(4-13) was hit with the loss. He got hammered, allowing 10 hits and 5 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
