July 23, 1985: Braves (26-66) at Expos (44-50)

Right fielder Andre Dawson had 4 hits and 3 RBI and David Palmer didn't allow a hit until the 6th inning as the Montreal Expos defeated the Atlanta Braves in 12 innings 5 to 3 at OLYMPIC STADIUM.

Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings. Finally, Montreal pulled the game out in the 12th inning. After an out was recorded, Vance Law began the rally when he stroked a single. Dawson stepped into the batter's box and he smashed a two-run homer giving Montreal the victory and sending the 30,378 home-town fans home happy. Neither team was able to score until the 6th inning.

The victory went to Jeff Reardon(3-1) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. The right-handed Palmer lost a no-hitter when Claudell Washington singled with one out in the 6th inning. Rick Camp(3-7) was hit with the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and no walks in 1 and 1/3 innings.
