July 24, 1985: Mariners (48-47) at Blue Jays (60-36)

Spike Owen slammed a homerun and Mike Moore came through with a solid 9 innings at EXHIBITION STADIUM where the Seattle Mariners beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4 to 0.

Seattle took the lead for good in the 3rd inning scoring a single run. That early scoring held up. Seattle managed 9 hits in their victory.

For Moore(14-6) it was his 2nd shutout this year. Jimmy Key(12-7) took the loss. He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 walks.

Moore was obviously very pleased with his performance in the aftermath of the game, 'It was just one of those games where everything worked. My arm felt great, heck, I could have pitched another two or three innings. I only hope that I can do it again next time out!'
