July 26, 1985: Cubs (52-44) at Dodgers (60-37)

At DODGER STADIUM the Los Angeles Dodgers outdistanced the Chicago Cubs by a final score of 7 to 3. 

Los Angeles took the lead for good in the 4th inning scoring 2 runs on 3 hits. Mike Marshall kicked off the action when he doubled. After an out was recorded, Bob Bailor stepped in and he stroked a base-hit. Mike Scioscia then drew a walk to load the bases. After another out, Jerry Reuss came to bat and hit a single scoring two baserunners. Los Angeles and Chicago each finished the night with 11 hits. 

Reuss(12-5) allowed 3 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory. Scott Sanderson(9-6) suffered the loss. He was knocked around by Los Angeles, allowing 10 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
