June 26, 1985: Indians (36-62) at Royals (54-42)

Center fielder Willie Wilson collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI as the Kansas City Royals bested the pathetic Cleveland Indians 8 to 2 at ROYALS STADIUM. 

Kansas City claimed the early lead in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits. Kansas City managed 10 hits in their victory. 

Mark Gubicza(10-7) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. The loss was charged to Don Schulze(5-12). He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 6 runs in 5 innings. 

The Royals record now stands at a division leading 54-42. Not able to get much going in recent weeks, Cleveland is 2-8 of late and now has an overall record of 36-62, worst in the division.
