Bill Madlock slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI at DODGER STADIUM as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the struggling Chicago Cubs 10 to 7. 

Los Angeles jumped on top of Chicago in the 6th inning when they came up with 2 runs on 1 hit. Los Angeles kept the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different innings. 

The win went to Bobby Castillo(3-2) who allowed 1 run in 3 innings. Tom Niedenfuer got the save, his 18th. The loss was charged to Dennis Eckersley(12-7). He was not very effective, surrendering 8 runs in 6 innings.
