Mike Mason(11-7) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He gave up just 2 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings. Overall Texas out-hit New York 10 to 2. 

Mason got help from Greg Harris who was credited with his 20th save. Ron Guidry(16-5) was the loser. He pitched 7 innings giving up 10 hits and 1 walk.
