July 28, 1985: Cubs (53-45) at Dodgers (61-38)

Rick Sutcliffe threw a complete game shutout at DODGER STADIUM where the Chicago Cubs beat the Los Angeles Dodgers by the score of 1 to 0. 

Sutcliffe(12-6) put on a good performance. He didn't give up much, just 6 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. Los Angeles threatened in the 9th but Chicago was able to put down the rally. 

Rick Honeycutt(7-3) absorbed the loss. 'We won because we did the little things right.' Jim Frey said after the game. 'This is why we practice things over and over and over, so when we get in close games we don't make mistakes.'
