July 30, 1985: Game 2: Yankees (56-43) at Indians (38-65)

In the second game of a double header 29,659 fans were treated to a fine game at MUNICIPAL STADIUM. Only one run separated the combatants at game's end. The Cleveland Indians won by the slimmest of margins, 9 to 8. 

Both teams had scored 8 runs after nine full innings. Cleveland won the hard fought contest in the 10th inning. Carmen Castillo banged out a single. George Vukovich followed and he drew a walk. After another out, Jerry Willard then hit a sacrifice fly making Cleveland the winners and sending the 29,659 fans home happy. It was roller coaster of a game as the lead change hands 5 times. 

The victory went to Ramon Romero(5-3) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. Dave Righetti(0-4) was hit with the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 4 hits and 3 walks.
