August 4, 1985: Orioles (53-51) at Indians (38-70)

Dennis Martinez allowed Earl Weaver to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the woeful Cleveland Indians by the score of 8 to 3 at MUNICIPAL STADIUM.

Baltimore won the game with a rally in the 8th inning when they tallied 4 runs on 4 hits. The key at-bat was by Fred Lynn who quieted the home crowd when he belted a three-run homer. Baltimore banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.

The victory went to Martinez(10-8) who went the distance allowing 3 runs. Tom Waddell(3-6) was hit with the loss in relief.
