The Texas Rangers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 4 to 1 at COUNTY STADIUM. 

Texas claimed the early lead in the first inning when they tallied 3 runs on 2 hits. That was all Jeff Russell(2-2) needed. Texas out-hit Milwaukee for the game, 9 hits to 5. 

Greg Harris was credited with his 21st save. The loss was charged to Ted Higuera(7-11). He gave up 4 runs and 9 hits in 7 and 2/3 innings.
