July 31, 1985: Twins (41-60) at Mariners (50-52)

Center fielder Dave Henderson had 2 base hits at The Kingdome as the Seattle Mariners beat the Minnesota Twins by the count of 5 to 2. 

Minnesota never recovered after Seattle took the lead in the 5th inning with 2 runs on 4 base hits. Bob Kearney led off and he ripped a one-base hit. Two outs later Phil Bradley came to the plate and reached on an error. Alvin Davis then laced a base-hit resulting in a run. Gorman Thomas came up and he lashed a single scoring the final run of the inning. Seattle ended up with 11 hits for the game while Minnesota had 4. 

Frank Wills(3-8) got the win allowing 2 runs in 8 innings. Wills got help from Roy Thomas who was credited with his 8th save. John Butcher(3-15) was given the loss in relief.
