August 6, 1985: Tigers (63-43) at Royals (59-47)

One run was the difference at ROYALS STADIUM as the Detroit Tigers defeated the Kansas City Royals 4 to 3. 

Walt Terrell(11-7) gave Detroit a solid outing. He went 7 innings surrendering 6 hits and 2 walks. Kansas City had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. 

Terrell got help from Willie Hernandez who earned his 26th save. Mark Gubicza(10-8) was the loser. He surrendered 4 runs and 4 hits in 5 and 1/3 innings.
