August 6, 1985: Twins (45-61) at A's (41-66)

Shortstop Greg Gagne had 2 base hits at OAKLAND COLISEUM where the Minnesota Twins beat the Oakland Athletics in 11 innings by the score of 3 to 2. 

The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings. Finally, Minnesota pulled the game out in the 11th inning. Kent Hrbek slapped a one-base hit. Tom Brunansky stepped into the batter's box and he delivered a base-hit. Gary Gaetti then grounded into a double play. Dave Meier was up next and he ripped a single scoring the run. Minnesota totaled 12 hits on the night. 

The victory was credited to Ken Schrom(9-2) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs. Jay Howell(1-5) took the loss in relief. He surrendered 3 hits and no walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.
