August 7, 1985: Dodgers (64-44) at Braves (32-74)

In a two run game the Atlanta Braves got by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 12 innings by the score of 4 to 2. 

Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings. Atlanta won it in the 12th inning. Rafael Ramirez led off and he drew a walk. Dale Murphy followed next and he clubbed a two-run home run making Atlanta the victors to the delight of the home town faithful. Atlanta rapped out 10 hits for the night. 

Bruce Sutter(2-3) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Bobby Castillo(3-3) was the loser in relief. He gave up 2 runs and 1 hit without retiring a batter. 

Atlanta now has a record of 32-74. Los Angeles has a record of 64-44 after the loss.
