The Toronto Blue Jays edged the Baltimore Orioles at EXHIBITION STADIUM by the score of 4 to 3. 

Toronto scored 3 runs in the decisive bottom of the 2nd inning with the help of 4 hits. It was enough scoring to earn the victory. Baltimore tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th. 

Dave Stieb(20-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing 3 runs. Stieb was helped out by Tom Henke who recorded his 25th save. The losing pitcher was Mike Flanagan(7-1).
