Vince Coleman had 3 base hits and 3 RBI and Joaquin Andujar pitched a complete
game at Shibe Park as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Phillies
by the count of 10 to 2.
 
St. Louis scored 4 runs in the top of the 2nd inning when they came up with 4
base hits.  That was all the runs Andujar(10-10) needed.  St. Louis banged
out 13 hits on the afternoon.  
 
Steve Carlton(13-5) was hit with the loss. He allowed St. Louis 6 runs in 5
innings of work.
