August 11, 1985: A's (44-68) at Mariners (55-57)

Don Sutton came through with a solid 11 innings at The Kingdome where the Oakland Athletics beat the Seattle Mariners in 13 innings 1 to 0. 

The score was a scoreless tie after nine. Oakland came out the victor in the 13th inning. Mickey Tettleton lofted a solo-blast downtown. The Seattle batters didn't put up a fight in the bottom of the 13th. 

Steve McCatty(4-6) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Steve Ontiveros gained credit for his 2nd save. Edwin Nunez(3-2) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 2 innings allowing 1 hit and no walks. 

With this win, Oakland has a 44-68 record. They have been 4-6 lately. With this loss, Seattle has a 5-5 record of late, 55-57 overall.
