August 11, 1985: Orioles (57-53) at Rangers (51-59)

The Baltimore Orioles nipped the Texas Rangers in 10 innings 6 to 5 at ARLINGTON STADIUM in a hard fought contest. 

Both teams were tied at 5 runs apiece after nine innings. Baltimore won the hard fought contest in the 10th inning. Lee Lacy ripped a base-knock. Lenn Sakata next to the plate and he grounded into a double play. Cal Ripken then cracked a solo homerun. Baltimore had a total of 10 hits for the game. 

The winning pitcher was Nate Snell(4-6) who allowed no runs in 3 innings. Snell got help from Don Aase who was credited with his 17th save. Dave Schmidt(6-5) ended up with the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run and 2 hits in 3 innings.
