August 12, 1985: A's (44-69) at Twins (47-65)

Tom Brunansky collected 2 extra-base hits and had 3 RBI at METRODOME as the Minnesota Twins came back dramatically to top the Oakland Athletics by the score of 7 to 6. 

Minnesota erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning plating 3 runs utilizing 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Kent Hrbek began the rally when he drew a walk. Brunansky was next and he doubled. Roy Smalley then lined a base-hit driving in a run. One out later, Tim Laudner came up and he ripped a single giving Minnesota the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. Oakland out-hit Minnesota 15 to 12, but Minnesota ended up with more runs. 

Ron Davis(1-3) was the winner allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning. Jay Howell(1-6) was the loser in relief. He pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing 3 hits and 1 walk. 

'What a game!,' Davis said afterward. 'When we won it I almost couldn't believe it!'
