Butch Wynegar had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the New York Yankees defeated the Chicago White Sox by a score of 6 to 4 at COMISKEY PARK. 

Rich Bordi(9-0) came through for Billy Martin with an excellent relief stint. He surrendered only 1 hit and no walks in 3 and 2/3 innings. Dave Righetti relieved and was untouched by Chicago as he recorded the save, his 26th. 

Britt Burns(8-14) absorbed the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 9 hits and 6 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. This win by New York continues their recent hot streak. In their last ten games, they have a record of 8-2. For the season, they are 66-46. Chicago has a record of 55-55 after the loss.
