August 13, 1985: A's (45-69) at Twins (47-66)

Mike Heath left the yard and had 3 RBI at METRODOME where the Oakland Athletics beat the Minnesota Twins by the score of 6 to 3.

The Minnesota fans didn't appreciate the big day Heath had. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 4th inning, tripled which plated a run in the 6th inning and ripped a single in the 8th inning. Jay Howell pitched a perfect ninth to earn his 19th save.

The victory was credited to Bill Krueger(5-10) who went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs. The losing pitcher was Mike Smithson(8-13). He surrendered 5 runs and 11 hits in 7 innings.
