The Milwaukee Brewers got by the Detroit Tigers at COUNTY STADIUM. The final score was 5 to 3. 

Milwaukee delivered all the runs required in the 6th inning as they scored 5 runs on 6 base hits. Neither team was able to score until the 6th inning. The win was credited to Danny Darwin(11-11) who went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs. 

Darwin got help from Rollie Fingers who earned his 20th save. Frank Tanana(12-6) was the loser. He pitched 6 innings giving up 11 hits and no walks.
