August 13, 1985: Yankees (66-47) at White Sox (56-55)

Carlton Fisk blasted 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at COMISKEY PARK as the Chicago White Sox beat the New York Yankees 6 to 5. 

Fisk had a big evening at the plate. He clubbed a solo home run in the 2nd inning, lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the 6th inning and hit a single in the 8th inning. New York made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across. 

The winning pitcher was Dan Spillner(5-2) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Bob James recorded the save, his 26th. Rich Bordi(9-1) took the loss in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 2 hits in 2 innings.
