August 15, 1985: Astros (55-59) at Giants (49-65)

In a lop-sided win the San Francisco Giants ripped the Houston Astros by a 9 to 2 count. 

It was a good day for San Francisco thanks to Ricky Adams. He blasted a two-run home run in the 1st inning, banged out a single bringing in a run in the 2nd inning and doubled bringing home two baserunners in the 6th inning. San Francisco ended up with 14 hits for the game while Houston had 9. 

Dave Lapoint(5-13) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Lapoint got help from Frank Williams who earned his 1st save. Bob Knepper(14-11) ended up with the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 5 and 2/3 innings.
