August 15, 1985: Indians (43-75) at Tigers (67-48)

The Cleveland Indians nipped the Detroit Tigers 7 to 6 at TIGER STADIUM in a hard fought contest. 

Curt Wardle(3-10) contributed a pedestrian performance to earn the win. He went 6 innings surrendering 6 hits and 4 walks. Both teams ended up with 9 hits on the night. 

Tom Waddell recorded the save, his 11th. Jack Morris(13-8) was the loser. Cleveland scored big getting 7 runs off him in 3 innings. 

'I struggled a bit out there tonight,' Wardle said, 'but I toughed it out and we got the win.'
