Jeff Russell(3-2) got the win but did not look spectacular. He gave up 6 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Russell mowed down 8 Baltimore batters. Texas totaled 14 hits on the night.
Russell got help from Greg Harris who was credited with his 25th save. Ken Dixon(4-9) was the losing pitcher. He was unable to control the Texas offense and allowed 8 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings.
