August 21, 1985: Reds (65-55) at Pirates (53-66)

R.J. Reynolds had 2 base hits at Forbes Field where the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Cincinnati Reds 4 to 1. 

Pittsburgh jumped out to the early lead in the first inning plating one baserunner on 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Reynolds ripped a one-base hit. Reynolds got a great jump and stole second easily. Johnny Ray then delivered a single scoring the run. Both teams totaled 7 hits on the night. 

Rick Rhoden(9-11) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Rhoden got relief help from Cecilio Guante who gained credit for his 24th save. The loss was charged to Joe Price(4-4). He surrendered only 2 runs and 4 hits in 6 innings.
