August 22, 1985: Royals (68-52) at White Sox (60-59)

Danny Jackson hurled a fine complete game shutout and third baseman George Brett launched 3 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the Kansas City Royals man-handled the Chicago White Sox - the final score was 11 to 0. 

 Brett had a huge day at the plate. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 1st inning, cracked a solo homerun in the 3rd inning and lofted a three-run 'bomb' in the 4th inning. Offensively, Brett and Steve Balboni were a juggernaut. They combined for 5 home runs and 11 RBI. Balboni finished a triple shy of the cycle For Jackson(9-9) it was his 2nd shutout this year. 

Floyd Bannister(12-11) took the loss. He surrended 3 homeruns in his 2 and 2/3 innings.
