August 23, 1985: Blue Jays (76-47) at White Sox (60-60)

George Bell knocked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the phenomenal Toronto Blue Jays bested the Chicago White Sox 8 to 4 at COMISKEY PARK.

Bell was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided much of the offense for the visitors. He clubbed a solo home run in the 4th inning and smacked a three-run homer in the 8th inning. Toronto banged out 10 hits on the night.

The victory was credited to Dave Stieb(22-6) who went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs. The loss was charged to Bob James(2-2) in relief. He pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up 4 hits and 1 walk.
