August 23, 1985: Dodgers (74-49) at Expos (57-66)

Bob Welch took a no-hitter into the 6th inning and Pedro Guerrero smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at OLYMPIC STADIUM as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Montreal Expos by the count of 9 to 2. 

Guerrero had a big evening at the plate. He lofted a three-run bomb in the 3rd inning and blasted a two-run home run in the 4th inning. Los Angeles had 13 hits for the night. 

Welch(13-7) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. The right-handed Welch lost his chance for a no-hitter when Scot Thompson singled with one out in the 6th inning. Joe Hesketh(11-7) was the loser. He served up 3 gopher balls in 3 and 2/3 innings.
