August 24, 1985: Orioles (62-60) at A's (51-73)

Dave Kingman went deep and had 4 RBI and Steve Ontiveros performed beautifully in relief as the Oakland Athletics defeated the Baltimore Orioles by a score of 9 to 7 at OAKLAND COLISEUM. 

Oakland scored 4 runs in the decisive bottom of the 4th inning when they came up with 4 base hits. The highlight belonged to Kingman who made the crowd happy when he belted a three-run homer. Oakland ended up with 14 hits for the game while Baltimore had 11. 

The winning pitcher was Bill Krueger(6-10) who allowed 5 runs in 5 innings. Ontiveros got the save, his 3rd. Scott McGregor(12-5) was hit with the loss. He was knocked around by Oakland, allowing 8 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.
