Tim Wallach had 2 base hits as the Montreal Expos defeated the San Diego Padres by the score of 4 to 3 at JACK MURPHY STADIUM.

Roberge got help from Jeff Reardon who earned his 20th save. Goose Gossage(5-7) was the loser in relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings giving up 3 hits and no walks.
