Ray Burris(12-14) pitched a fine game. He went 7 innings allowing 7 hits and 1 walk. Cleveland threatened in the 9th but Milwaukee was able to put down the rally.
Bob McClure recorded the save, his 4th. The loss was charged to Neal Heaton(9-15). He got hit pretty hard, allowing 14 hits and 5 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.
Despite losing Pat Corrales was optimistic after the game. 'We'll get over this one. Sometimes the breaks fall your way, sometimes they don't. Any one of a dozen little things go different, and we come out on top.'
